Returns & Refunds Policy

Legal compliance
This returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in
 October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
 This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor.
Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.

Your rights as a consumer
In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off period' in which you have the right to cancel
your purchase and receive a full refund. You do not need to give a reason for canceling your purchase.
 We are obliged to refund your payment in full within 30 days of your cancellation.

How to cancel within the 7 day cooling off period

Refunds due to cancellation (instant refunds from WORLDPAY before we send out good!)
Your refund will be made by Worldpay bank payment if paid this way
There will be no charges for instant cancellation - just email us if you need to cancel


Refunds for unwanted goods will only be made where the goods are returned unused,
unopened and in re-saleable condition.

Unwanted goods should be returned within 7 days of delivery.
You should post them, unopened and undamaged to:
Chinchillas2Shop, Burnside, Lane Head Lane, Ogden, Halifax, HX2 8XL
We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product
carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier.
Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery - if you send first class and item is lost - you, the sender, are responsible to claim from Royal mail any loss so please keep your receipt in case (small value items may be best sent first class - First class Royal mail claim are up to £32.00)

Please remember to give us your name
and address, and a copy of your purchase receipt.

Refunds for unwanted goods that are not damaged - return within 7 days
Providing that unwanted goods are received by us in unused, unopened and re-saleable condition within 7 days
of delivery, we will refund payment for the goods. If the goods you received were faulty, then we will be happy to refund in full and will also refund any postage you had to pay to send back to us,
but if goods returned to us that are not faulty and you just want a refund
we will refund the value of the item once sent back to us (but not the postage for sending to you)
Refunds will be made within 7 days from receiving goods
Once items arrive safe - we will email to confirm when we will refund back

 

Orders are only accepted on dispatch of the goods, and not on the issuing of the automated email
Your automatic email from Worldpay (our payment gateway) will confirm that
you order has been processed successfully, but
it does not indicate that your order has been accepted.
It is the responsibility of Chinchillas2Shop to confirm that your order has been accepted,
and to deliver any goods or services you have ordered
Chinchillas2shop can refuse orders at their discrepancy - the customer will receive a full refund
of the transaction made online and no items will be dispatched prior
